TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

Platforms

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That should round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the part that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It does inform your assessment.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
