The Broker - The Short Version
TabTrade.com opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is solid.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
This is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
